Through the Dynamic Strategic Visioningsm process, L. R. Levin Consulting, L.L.C. assists management to create the strategic and operational blueprints to outperform your competition, and, through effective implementation, propel long-term growth and profitability.
Dynamic Strategic Visioningsm is a disciplined, focused, holistic process in which a multi-dimensional assessment of the enterprise’s current state and its desired state is fashioned into the blueprint for transitioning the enterprise from its current state to its desired state. When coupled with the application of the expertise comprising our areas of concentration we can build the blueprint for the future.
The concept in its broadest form is used to develop a dynamic mosaic of current and potential products, suppliers, customers, competencies, strategic partners, and competitors to determine where the future of the enterprise lies. (In its more narrow form the focus of the concepts comprising the dynamic mosaic are applied to a more narrow known need of the enterprise, such as revitalizing marketing.)
In the broader format the enterprise’s current and potential core products and competencies are examined and opportunities identified. As part of identifying future opportunities, it is important to determine for each industry segment and each of the core products and competencies related to each segment, the current and potential suppliers, strategic partners, competitors, and customers. These are then compared and contrasted with those of each competitor for each industry segment.
Once the enterprise’s most beneficial present and future opportunities have been identified a Business and Management Strategic Needs Assessment is developed.
The Needs Assessment identifies all of the elements appropriate to move the enterprise to the next level. Among the items are:
• The management team and each successive layer to an appropriate depth.
• The talent and skill sets needed to move to the next level.
• An inventory of currently existing talent and skill sets and how needed additional
talent and skill sets will be acquired.
This may be through training of existing personnel or recruiting of new personnel.
The Needs Assessment identifies areas of improvement in:
• Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
• Team Building and Effective Leadership Models.
• Technical Integration and Restructuring.
The Needs Assessment is then used to create strategic and operating plans. The strategic plan includes a multi-dimensional integrated matrix identifying the future opportunities, assessment of and analyzing the capital needs to carry into effect your enterprise’s plan. The strategic plan and an operating plan normally draw upon the expertise within our areas of concentration in formulating how best to achieve desired results.
The operating plan includes:
• Goals and time tables for accomplishing specific results.
• Resources, including capital for accomplishing these results.
To achieve continuous growth and profitability most successful enterprises seek to develop a management by values approach with a mission and vision that guides their future. The strategic plan and the operating plan normally include the development and deployment of these pieces.
By identifying, harnessing, and leveraging an organization’s core strengths against its significant opportunities, the strategic and operating plan build lasting value for your enterprise. Replenishing and building core strengths is a continuous process. |
